Her professional career started to take off, after she co-recorded a song with F.O.B and was selected to be in a pop-group Eden’s Crush, following her participation in a competition in a WB’s television show “Popstars”. The band’s single “Get Over Yourself” made it to the top 10 on the billboard charts. She later confessed that although her participation in Eden’s Crush was a torture for her, she couldn’t have gone into the Pussycat Dolls project without that experience.
Nicole is perhaps best known as a lead singer of Pussycat Dolls, where she is the only member with song writing credits. Her prominence grew with such top 10 hits as “Don’t Cha”, “Buttons”, “Stickwitu” and “When I Grow Up”, turning album PCD double-platinum.
Following Nicole’s initial success with Pussycat Dolls, her independent career started with co-recording tracks together with Shaggy, Will Smith, and Vittorio Grigolo as well as being featured in “Come to Me” by Diddy. A few singles were released from her debut album, speculatively named “Her Name Is Nicole”. “Whatever U Like”, “Puakenikeni” and “Supervillain” failed to gain success, while “Baby Love” has become moderately popular on the other side of the Atlantic.
