Adriana Lima, born June 12, 1981 is a Brazilian supermodel. She’s famous for Victoria Secret photo shoots as well as being an official face of Maybelline. Even though Adriana never contemplated being a model, she joined her friend from school in a modeling contest. After submitting her pictures, she got promptly invited to participate in the contest, which she eventually won at the age of 15. Adriana’s career swiftly took off after she signed with Elite Model Management and moved to New York. Within the next little while, she appeared in many editions of Vogue and Marie Claire. She also represented Armani, Ralph Lauren, Valentino, Ungaro and others as a runway model. Besides her being an Angel for Victoria Secret since 1999, she also opened the shows in 2003, 2007, and 2008, as well as modeling in numerous television ads for the company. She was also featured on the cover of the anniversary edition of Esquire, alongside Alessandra Ambrosio, Karolina Kurkova, Izabel Goulart, and Selita Ebanks. On top of her professional career, she’s often described as the world’s most beautiful woman. Adriana was ranked 7th sexiest woman by FHM in 2007, and later that year she was named “Hottest Girl on the Planet” by Spike TV Guy’s Choice Awards.
