Eva Mendes, born on March 5, 1974 in Miami Florida, is a Cuban-American actress and model. Despite her aspirations to be a nun due to her Catholic upbringing and not considering Hollywood career, a talent agent she met convinced her to pursue acting career. Her exposure began with her appearing in numerous commercials and music videos, such as Will Smith’s “Miami” and Aerosmith’s “Hole in My Soul”.Her first acting job came with a direct-to-video sequel “Children of the Corn 5” lead to her being cast in more serious roles, such as “Stuck on You” and “Once Upon a Time in Mexico”, earning her a nomination at Teen Choice Awards.
