Alessandra took modeling classes as early as age 12 and later was one of the finalists in a Brazilian modeling competition. She was first featured on the cover of Elle magazine in Brazil at the age of 15. After Guess selected her to be one of the models for “Millennium GUESS?” campaign alongside her friend Ana Beatriz Barros, she promptly started representing a wide variety of haute couture brands, such as Dior, Gucci, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Revlon and many others. At the same time she started catwalk appearances for Dior, Lauren, Armani and many more.
She’s perhaps best known for her numerous appearances in Victoria’s Secret lingerie catalogs. Her popularity and exotic look assisted her in becoming a Victoria Secret’s Angel and a spokesmodel for the brand.
Alessandra is one of the top-earning models in the world and is considered to be one of the sexiest cover girls, having appeared on over 50 covers of Cosmopolitan, Vogue, Marie Claire, Elle and Glamour among others. In 2007 Alessandra was chosen as one of the 100 Most Beautiful People in the World by People magazine.
