Amanda Bynes, born April 3, 1986 in Thousand Oaks, California, is an American actress. She started her professional acting training at the age of 7 when she enrolled in an acting camp run by former actors Arsenio Hall and Richard Pryor. She started appearing in comedy show “All That” and stayed with the show until it was canceled. Amanda’s first silver screen appearance came with her role in “Big Fat Liar”, a movie that brought her moderate success. Later she started working in a situational comedy “What I Like About You” and also made a voice appearance in an animated movie “Robots”. After appearing in “The Nightmare Room” and “Arliss” she started to rise to the status of one of the most prominent young actresses alongside Lindsay Lohan, Hilary Duff, Evan Rachel Wood and Mandy Moore, all of whom were selected to appear on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine. It is notable that she distinguishes herself from the socialites, claiming she is “more similar to them than some… socialite or whatever”, presumably referring to a couple of most talented international superdivas and members of Hollywood 2.0 lifestyle, such as Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian.
Amanda later appeared in “She’s the Man”, a modern day adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night”, starred in romantic comedies “Lovewrecked” and “Hairspray”, and then was cast in “Sydney White”, staring alongside Sara Paxton.
